November Workday

  • Keller Rose Garden 640 Johnson Road Keller, TX, 76248 United States (map)

Keller Garden Club maintains the following gardens in the City of Keller: Rose Garden at Friends of the Library, Pollinator Garden at Keller Pointe, Garden Bed at Keller Library, Xeriscape Garden at Bear Creek Park, and Memorial Garden at Mt. Gilead Memorial Cemetery.

November Workday is a Compost Day: Help Us Enrich Our Gardens!

This month, we will be applying over 110 bags of nutrient-rich compost to the gardens we maintain across Keller. Healthy soil is the foundation of every thriving garden, and compost plays a vital role in enriching the soil, enhancing water retention, and supporting robust plant health!

At our November business meeting, we will circulate a sign-up sheet with suggested member counts for each garden. This helps us plan ahead, ensuring we have the right number of members at each site for efficient compost distribution. Our goal is to have a total of 17-20 volunteers for this workday.

The City of Keller will deliver the compost bags to each garden on Wednesday, November 20th. We’ll confirm the workday start time at the November 14th meeting and/or via email.

For members who have physical limitations, please don't hesitate to join us. There are many ways to help out that don't involve lifting--like opening compost bags, discarding trash, and keeping us all organized. Your presence and support make a difference and we'd love to have you with us for whatever you're able to do!
