Testimonials

“I am NOT a gardener, but joined Keller Garden Club in 2010 when a friend told me there were fun people to meet and fun things to do, and snacks! We have a great mix of talents: some actual Master Gardeners and others like me who still don’t know a weed vs something special. Our meetings are lively and informational, we have field trips and speakers, and garden work days and plant swaps and we manage to get a lot done in the five gardens we care for throughout Keller. Come try a meeting or two: we still have snacks!”

“My love for gardening started in my teens and started with indoor plants. I transitioned to loving outdoor plants and trees once I became a homeowner. My knowledge and skill basically was plant it and hope it lived. Through the Keller Garden Club, I have expanded my knowledge and not just in gardening and outdoor plants and trees. The club offers educational classes, speakers, workshops and field trips beyond gardening. I’ve learned about composting, water retention, native plants and vegetables, beneficial insects, making jellies and jams, flower arrangements, propagation and other fascinating subjects. The added bonus—the friends you make and keep. The Keller Garden Club has been a BIG win/win for me!”

“My grandmother had a green thumb. Her five acres were well manicured with fruit trees, a vegetable garden and the most beautiful flowers. I fell in love with plants and flowers because of her. When I moved to Texas in 2022 I quickly realized gardening here is very different than gardening in PNW. I’m so grateful I joined the Keller Garden Club. I have learned so much and made great friends along the way.”

“After retiring, I was eager to immerse myself in my lifelong passion for gardening while also seeking to broaden my social connections. Joining the Keller Garden Club exceeded my expectations in every way! The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and refreshingly free from cliques. Within this small yet intimate group of knowledgeable gardeners, I not only deepen my understanding of horticulture with each speaker session but also have forged meaningful friendships.”
